• Peoria Main Library - 48th Annual Rennick Juried Art Show

  The 48th Annual Rennick Juried Art Show, sponsored by the Peoria Historical Society, will be at Peoria Public Library Main Library Gallery from May 1 to 30. With the expanded gallery space, the show is expected to feature oil painting, watercolor, pastels, pen and ink, colored pencil, charcoal, mixed media and photography. Artists were required to submit work depicting a Central Illinois theme within a 100 mile radius from the tri-county area. This may include landmarks, nature, water and landscapes, events, or people. 9a-6p Mon-Sat. Free and open to public 309-497-2120.

  Peoria County Regional Office of Education brings the Arts In Education Spring Celebration to the Peoria County Courthouse Plaza, 324 Main St., each weekday from April 16 through May 25, 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.  Performances and displays take place on three stages outside the courthouse: the Circle, the Monument, and Main and Jefferson. • Contemporary Art Center - Screen Printing Classes

Screen printing is a simple, user friendly printmaking technique that can be used to print a series of virtually identical images onto just about any surface. Students in this course will learn the fundamentals of screen printing including creating stencils, exposing screens, registration methods, printing onto paper and t-shirts, and reclaiming screens.
