PEORIA, IL- November, 23, 2015- ArtsPartners of Central Illinois is pleased to announce that Sculpture Walk Peoria is currently accepting outdoor sculpture exhibition submissions for 2016. With the immense success of the first annual 2015 Sculptural Walk, the Sculpture Walk Peoria Committee is excited to launch the 2016 Call For Entry. Joe Richey, leader of the committee, said, “Our goal is to change the look and feel of our warehouse district through an ever-changing variety of sculpture in public places and provide a more attractive, welcoming environment to live, work, and play in downtown Peoria.”

Sculpture Walk Peoria is an annual, juried, outdoor exhibit offering local, regional, national and international sculptors the opportunity to showcase and sell their creations, while enhancing the cultural environment of Peoria and providing opportunities to educate the public. The 2015 Sculpture Walk Peoria had a goal of launching with 10 sculptures and because of successful fundraising supported 15 sculptures for the inaugural sculptural walk. The goal for 2016 Sculpture Walk Peoria is for 20 sculptures to be installed in June 2016.

All sculptures entered are to be for sale for the duration of the year-long exhibit. At the present time, 2 sculptures have been sold from 2015 Sculpture Walk Peoria.

Sculptures will be placed in highly visible locations along the newly renovated Washington Street and Adams Street in Peoria, between Liberty and Elm Street in The Warehouse District. The Peoria Warehouse District has been included on the National Register of Historic Places.
