Corn Stock For Kids is thrilled to present the non-musical show “And A Child Shall Lead,” the heroic and true story of the children coming of age in Terezin, the “Jewish city” established by the Nazis near Prague. In the face of unspeakable horror, these children use their determination and creativity to build lives filled with hope and beauty – playing, studying, making art, and writing an underground newspaper – all at the peril of being executed.
Based on real-life events, this powerful drama contains poems and stories written by some of the young prisoners. It is the result of interviews with survivors and from research and archives and museum collections in the Czech Republic, and evoke the universality of children caught in the insanity of war.
The cast includes Marshall Ores, John Marsh, Grace Blume, Flynn Robertson, Katelynn Koeppel, Alex Herz, Aleithia Keltner, Dayvid Lewis, Elise Tejeda, Oliver Johnson, Holden Tyre, and Renee Fonseca. The show is directed by Amy Williams.
